There is a plethora of young players in the NBA that have high potential. Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki was asked which of those players has the most potential according to him.

The former NBA champion went with Luka Doncic with whom the German forward played during his final year in the league. According to Nowitzki, there are no holes in Luka’s game and he still has plenty of upside.

“Luka is, for me, the guy that’s on the top of the list because he’s only 22-years-old,” Nowitzki said on a call with reporters when asked which young player had the most potential.

“He still has so much upside and stuff to learn. His creativity, the way he reads the game, the way he spreads the ball, the way he can score really from the post all the way out to half court, there are no holes in his game. That, at 22, is unbelievable.”

Doncic is one of the most dominant players in the NBA, despite being just 22 years old. He entered the MVP conversation already in his second year in the league.

This season, the Slovenian is averaging 25.6 points, 8 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game for the Mavericks.
