The Orlando Magic are shopping veteran forward Terrence Ross, but they want draft compensation in exchange, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic.
Orlando has been in rebuilding mode since they shipped Nikola Vucevic to Chicago in the previous trade deadline. Ross was the last veteran presence remained in the team last season.

“The Magic have sought draft capital — such as a first-round pick — in talks for veteran swingman Terrence Ross, sources said,” Charania wrote. “Ross is averaging 10.8 points this season. He scored 22 points on Saturday at the Clippers.”
With the direction Orlando is heading in, it would only make sense for them to trade Ross. The Magic are moving towards earning more draft capital, giving more playtime to young players, like Cole Anthony, Franz Wagner and Mo Mamba.
Ross was used as a scoring spark from the bench this season, however he will be a free agent after the end of next season. The veteran wing signed a four-year deal with Orlando during 2019-2020 season worth $54M.
Ross is a 10-year veteran out of Washington. He was taken eighth overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors and won the Slam Dunk contest in his rookie season.
Orlando is on a five-game losing streak and has the second-worst record in the NBA at 5-23. The Magic will be back in action on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks.
