The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to record two straight wins as they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies (95-108). Turnovers was a major problem for the purple and gold. They had 22 turnovers while their opponents had 11.

In addition, Memphis had 18 steals and 14 offensive rebounds while the Lakers 7 and 4 respectively. According to Anthony Davis, it is impossible to win with such numbers.

“We can’t expect to win with 22 turnovers and 18 steals, 14 offensive rebounds,” Davis said postgame. “It just doesn’t give us a chance to set our defense. And it doesn’t give us a chance to get a shot on the go every time down the floor.

“We got to do better, got to better take care of the ball. It was a lot of unforced turnovers tonight. And when we do that, that’s how our defense is compromised. They get out on the transition. It might be three guys on the baseline or anything, four on one, three on two, four on two, whatever. We can’t get set, they score.”
