The Lakers are set to square off against their city rivals the Clippers tomorrow. Among other things, it will be a battle between two former teammates, Russell Westbrook and Paul George, that used to play together for the Thunder.

Russ revealed that he stays in touch with PG a lot as their children are going to the same school. “We’ve always been tight,” Westbrook said. “We’re obviously tighter because we played with each other in Oklahoma City. Our kids go to the same school, they do the same sports. We are kind of in communication always.

“I see PG a lot when I’m picking my son up in school or he is picking his daughter up or dropping him off vice versa. So we stay in communication. I’m always watching when I have an opportunity I see him from a distance. I don’t watch full games but seeing that PG playing well and what he’s capable of doing which I’ve known for a while.”

This season, Westbrook is averaging 20.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game for the Lakers, while George is averaging 25.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game for the Clippers.
