Sacramento Kings are still committed to the core of Tyrese Haliburton and De’Aaron Fox and, as a result, there is no interest in engaging in trade talks for the Sixers’ superstar Ben Simmons.
According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Kings are hoping interim head coach Alvin Gentry will revitalize the team and put a stop to its losing streak.
Simmons has not yet played for the Sixers this season, as he remains out indefinitely for personal reasons. On the other side, the Kings’ start has been accompanied by Fox struggling on the floor.
Fox is averaging just 19.9 points per game on 42 percent shooting from the field, down from the 25 points on 47 percent shooting he had last season.
However, Sacramento hopes to turn around the season, after firing head coach Luke Walton. The Kings will face the slumping Lakers on Saturday, after getting a close-fought 125-121 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
