LeBron James was absent for the Los Angeles Lakers in a loss to the New York Knicks after getting suspended for elbowing Isaiah Stewart in a previous game against the Detroit Pistons.

Lakers star Russell Westbrook was asked after the Knicks game if he was surprised by the NBA suspending James. “Yes and no,” Russ said postgame. “I mean, we’ve all seen the video, we’ve all seen of what kind of happened.

“But they made a decision, there’s no need for myself or anybody else to continue talking about it or trying to figure it out. We got a game tomorrow. Bron will be back then and will go to Indiana and take care of business.”
