Cleveland Cavaliers rookie big man Evan Mobley will miss at least two-to-four weeks with a right elbow sprain, the team announced.

An MRI administered today confirmed the injury and Mobley will now undergo a period of treatment and rehabilitation.

The 20-year-old suffered the injury in the third quarter of the team’s 92-98 loss to the Boston Celtics on Nov. 15.

Mobley, the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft, has gotten off to a hot start in his rookie campaign, averaging 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.6 blocks per game in 33.7 minutes per game in 15 games.

He was already a leading candidate for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award, as he was leading all rookies in points, rebounds and blocks.

Mobley also ranks fourth in assists and steals among rookies.
