The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. The purple and gold had a 5-point lead at halftime, but completely collapsed in the third, which they lost 12-40.

Only two players finished the game with double-digit scoring for the Lakers, namely Anthony Davis (22) and Russell Westbrook (20). The loss came after two straight wins.

According to Dwight Howard, who was the team’s third top scorer with 9 points, games like this are a test of the character of the team. He still believes that the Lakers will have their parade at the end of the season.

“It’s a long season,” Howard said postgame. “We’re going to get this thing right, we’re going to stay positive. We’re not going to allow these small mishaps affect who we are as a team.”
