Jonathan Kuminga could make his return as soon as Saturday in the game vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors’ head coach revealed earlier today.

Kuminga is rehabbing a strained patellar tendon in his right knee, which he injured during their preseason game against the Denver Nuggets earlier this October.

The rookie was about to be re-evaluated Friday, after being ruled out for the Warriors’ three-game road trip, and it looks like he is well on track to play.

“He is a possibility to go tomorrow,” Kerr said on Friday, per USA Today Sports. “He is playing 3-on-3 right now so we’ll see how he comes out of this day.”

The seventh overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, Kuminga played well during the 2021 Summer League, after spending time in G League last season.

He averaged 14.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in four games for the Warriors during the Summer League.
