Cam Thomas was impressive in his preseason debut with the Brooklyn Nets in the triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers (123-97).

Thomas was the best player of the Nets in the contest. He went for a game-high 21 points, on 7/14 shooting, in 22 minutes of action.

After the game, he received high praise from Brooklyn head coach and NBA legend Steve Nash. “We’ll see about the rotation. We’ve got a lot of veteran guys. We’ve got a lot of scoring punch. So we’ll see. But we love him,” Nash told reporters.

For his part, Cam Thomas enjoyed his first NBA game and revealed how competitive the Nets practices have been. Yet, he knows he still has to work hard to get his spot in the rotation.
