Svetislav Pesic is set to return to the national team of Serbia and become the new head coach of the squad for the first time since 2002.
As Blic reports, Igor Kokoskov will step down as head coach following the elimination from the Olympic Tournament and his decision to join Dallas Mavericks’ coaching staff.
Consequently, Serbia is in search for a new head coach and Pesic is set to take over in order to lead the squad to the 2022 EuroBasket.
Pesic has been a free agent for several months now and the two sides currently are in talks and are expected to reach an agreement soon.
