Alexey Shved officially returns to EuroLeague powerhouse CSKA Moscow. The ‘Army Team’ announced that last season’s EuroLeague leading scorer signed a 1+1 deal with the club.

Shved started his professional career in CSKA, and went to the NBA in 2012 as a full-fledged player in the rotation of both CSKA and the Russian National Team.

He played 182 games in the NBA before returning to Europe for Khimki Moscow. He had the most productive years of his career with Khimki winning the Alphonso Ford Award two times (2018, 2021) leading EuroLeague in scoring.

Last season, Shved averaged 19.8 points and 7.7 assists per contest, making 3.1 threes per game. He had even higher averages in VTB League as he scored 23.3 points and dished 8.8 assists per contest.

“I am very glad to be back home in the strongest European club. I hope we will show the maximum results together. We will work hard on this. I’m looking forward to the start of the season, I am anxious to be back on the floor in CSKA colors,” Shved said in his first statement after his return to the ‘Army Team’.
