Free agent guard Elfrid Payton has agreed to a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, according to Shams Charania.
Payton previously spent some time with the Suns in the 2017-18 NBA season when he played 19 games for the team after being traded from the Orlando Magic.
Last season, the 27-year-old averaged 10.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in 63 games for the New York Knicks.
Payton will provide the Suns with even more depth and playmaking at point guard behind Chris Paul and Cameron Payne.
