The Los Angeles Lakers have signed big man Dwight Howard, it was announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not released.

An eight-time NBA All-Star and the 2004 first overall draft pick, Howard appeared in 69 games (six starts) with the Philadelphia 76ers last season, where he averaged 7.0 points and 8.4 rebounds in 17.3 minutes.

He returns to Los Angeles after averaging 7.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 2019-20, helping the team win the 2020 NBA Championship.
