FC Barcelona announced the signing of former Real Madrid point guard Nicolas Laprovittola. The Argentinian national joined the Catalans on a two-year deal.
Laprovittola spent the last two seasons playing for Barca’s rival Real Madrid. The veteran point guard marked his third EuroLeague season with 6.8 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per contest.
He averaged 9.5 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per contest in the Spanish ACB. Laprovittola is currently in Tokyo, competing for Argentina in the Olympic Games.
The 31-year-old’s transfer is the latest addition to Barcelona’s core this summer. The Catalans have also signed Rokas Jokubaitis and Sertac Sanli so far.
