Since the beginning of the offseason, the rumors are coming up of players that are potential additions to the Los Angeles Lakers. Former Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie is among them. He had the season end for him prematurely due to an ACL injury.
According to Broderick Turner of Los Angeles Times, Dinwiddie, who is a LA native, is interested in joining the Lakers. The 26-year-old point guard played just three games this past season for the Nets before getting injured. During those three appearances, he averaged 6.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3 assists. The year before that was his best individually, as he averaged 20.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
The Lakers are reportedly looking for a primary point guard with a shooting ability. The names of Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook surfaced recently as some of the targets for that position.
