Olimpia Milano are looking to further improve its forwards’ rotation with the addition of Nicolo Melli. According to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, Milan and Melli are nearing a deal.

Melli will replace Zach LeDay, who will part ways with the Italian powerhouse. Melli spent the last two seasons in the NBA, playing for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Italian national appeared in 108 games in the NBA with both teams. He got traded to Dallas in March and played 26 more games, including three in the playoffs.

Melli will return to Milano after six years. He also played for Brose Bamberg and Fenerbache, before joining the Pelicans in 2019.
