Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam underwent successful surgery last week to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, the team announced.

The injury occurred in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on May 8.

The expected recovery and rehabilitation time for the procedure is approximately five months.

This timetable means that Siakam could return in November, which is after the 2021-22 regular season begins on Oct. 19.

The 27-year-old played in 56 of 72 games this season and averaged 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
