Utah Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell was impressed with Memphis Grizzlies sophomore guard Ja Morant, who dropped 47 points during Game 2 of the Western Conference playoff series.

Mitchell called Morant ‘a hell of a player’ saying he has the utmost respect for the young guard’s game, who made an excellent start in his playoff career scoring 71 points in the first two games.

During Game 2 of the series against the Jazz, Morant exploded for 47 points, however it was not quite enough for Memphis as Utah prevailed 129-141 to level the series at one game apiece.

Mitchell missed 25 games before entering the Jazz’s starting lineup again on Wednesday night. He had 25 points making an explosive start in the game with 12 points in the first quarter.

Both teams will face again each other on Saturday for Game 3 of the series, which will take place in Memphis.
