The Memphis Grizzlies secured a ticket to the playoffs by taking down the Golden State Warriors in the final play-in game (117-112) thanks to a big performance by Ja Morant.
The 21-year-old guard played 46 minutes and made some clutch plays on his way to a team-high 35 points. Steph Curry responded with 39 points for the Dubs but it wasn’t enough.
LeBron James, who praised Morant’s basketball IQ in the past, reacted to his performance with a two-letter tweet. “JA!” Lakers star tweeted.
Memphis will now face the number one seed Utah in the first round of the playoffs.
