New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley believe New Orleans Pelicans’ star Zion Williamson ain’t special. The Knicks’ legend claimed Williamson is not defended properly by the opponent during an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“(Zion) ain’t doing nothing special,” Oakley said, via Diamond Leung of The Athletic (hat tip to clutchpoints.com). “He’s just putting the ball down, guys they don’t slide no more. They reach in and then look behind like, ‘Oh, I thought I had help.’ There ain’t no help. Keep him in front for 2-3 dribbles, you might have help.”

Williamson seems to be unstoppable this season using his strength and athleticism to blow past his defender. The former Duke star is averaging 27.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists through 55 games this season.

He’s shooting a remarkable 61.7 percent from the field finishing through contact. The Pelicans decided to use Williamson as the primary ball-handler in hope of attacking the defense in the first seconds of the 24-second clock.
