Philadelphia 76ers were able to fight until the last second vs. the Phoenix Suns (116-113 loss) on Wednesday thanks to another MVP-caliber performance from Joel Embiid.

The Sixers’ superstar revealed he was not supposed to play vs. Phoenix, but having Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris out, made him take the floor despite being hurt.

With Philadelphia having two huge matchups vs. another Eastern Conference powerhouse in Milwaukee, Embiid is expected to be available for the back-to-back showdown against the Bucks.

The Sixers (39-19) are on a two-game losing streak trying to clinch the top seed in the East with less than 15 games remaining for the end of the regular season campaign.
