The Los Angeles Lakers continued their winning-losing sequence as they were defeated by the New York Knicks (96-111). The reigning NBA champions are now 3-4 in their last seven games.

After the game, head coach Frank Vogel talked about what led to his team’s loss. “Really poor passing, some bad decisions and… you have to credit the defense… as good as we were offensively two nights ago [against the Nets] we were just as bad tonight,” he said.

“It’s disappointing, we had 25 turnovers and we got our shot blocked 9 times, which we view as turnovers as well. Definitely not good enough on the offensive end tonight.”

Despite the loss, the Lakers retained the fifth place in the Western Conference. They are one win behind the Nuggets and two wins ahead of the Trail Blazers.
