Actor Michael Rapaport has posted screenshots of messages bearing both homophobic and misogynistic slurs he claims to have received from Brooklyn nets forward Kevin Durant.

The messages appear to have stemmed from Rapaport’s criticism of the player for the way he responded to interview questions from Charles Barkley last year.

Durant has seemingly confirmed the messages are from him with an apology of sorts which, from Rapaport’s reply, we reckon he did not accept.

The NBA notably fined Kobe Bryant and Rajon Rondo for using homophobic slurs on the court in separate incidents. It remains to be seen how the league reacts to Durant’s messages.

Durant received widespread criticism after he was discovered to have used burner accounts to defend himself on social media back in 2017.
