The Atlanta Hawks are trading Rajon Rondo to the Los Angeles Clippers for Lou Williams, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Clippers are also sending a pair of second round picks and cash to the Hawks, according to Shams Charania.

Williams will get the chance to return to his home state of Georgia and play for the surging Hawks who have won eight out of their last 10 games.

The 34-year-old is only averaging 12.1 points and 3.4 assists per game this season, but he is still capable of providing a scoring boost off the bench.

Rondo on the other hand, will fill the Clippers’ need for a point guard, as Patrick Beverley has missed the last six games with a knee injury.

Rondo, 35, is averaging 3.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in only 14.9 minutes per game.

He signed a two-year deal with the Hawks last offseason after winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
