The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James praised his teammate Kyle Kuzma for his performance against the Indiana Pacers (24 points, 13 rebounds), calling it ‘exceptional.’ The four-time NBA champion talked about the progress that he sees Kuzma making since James joined the Lakers three years ago.

“It’s all about growth. The game has just slowed down every year for him,” LeBron said postgame. “I’ve been with him for the last three years. The game has just slowed down. He knows his role with this team. He does it to a high level and tonight was another example of that.”

“Tonight he had it going. We continued to find a high hand. I wanted to continue to get him the ball and he continued to make plays. That’s the growth. The growth of him is knowing that some games are going to be different.

It’s not going to be always high scoring nights but he’s still able to make an impact especially on the glass and with his energy and his effort. But we need to make shots. We need him to make shots especially in the absence of AD. Tonight was an example of that.”
