Atlanta Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce will miss the next two games due to the expected birth of his second child in the coming days, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Pierce will miss the team’s games against the Boston Celtics on Feb. 17 and Feb. 19.

Associate head coach Nate McMillan will coach in Pierce’s absence.

Pierce flew back to Atlanta on Tuesday after the Hawks’ 123-112 loss to the New York Knicks on Feb. 15 and he could be back for the Hawks’ game against the Denver Nuggets on Feb. 21, notes Spears.

The Hawks are currently in 11th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 11-16.
