Gilbert Arenas shared his thoughts on Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic and his MVP-caliber performances.
Arenas admitted he was wrong about Doncic, when the Slovenian star joined the Mavs back in the 2018 NBA Draft.
“I really fell in love with Luka. I was watching him when he was coming to the draft process and I was like, ‘Man the guy is too slow. I don’t know how he’s gonna get his shot off.’ And then, I see one live game and I was like, ‘I messed up on that one.’
Luka’s just different. There’s a reason that he is performing the way he is versus others in the path. He has the makeup that just makes him different, that makes him stand out,” Arenas said about Doncic, via Whistle Sports.
Doncic is averaging 27.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 9.3 assists with Dallas this season.
