Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has been fined $25,000 for striking Dallas Mavericks’ Tim Hardaway Jr. in the groin area, the league announced.

The incident, which Murray received a Flagrant Foul 2 and was ejected for, occurred with 4:51 remaining in the third quarter of the Nuggets’ 117-113 victory over the Mavericks on Jan. 25.

Murray will not be suspended for the incident.

“I guess he was just frustrated that they didn’t call a foul,” said Hardaway after the game. “I was just trying to do the best I can to deny the ball. The rest of it speaks for itself. It happens in a game. But it doesn’t even matter at this point. We lost.”
