FC Barcelona officially announced that the club and Thomas Heurtel have mutually parted ways. After the incident in Istanbul where the player did not return to Spain with the rest of the squad and the club talking about Heurtel’s betrayal, it was expected that the two sides will not continue their cooperation.
Barcelona had also announced that the player would not be able to practice with the rest of the team and that he would follow an individual training schedule.
The player will not be able to play for another Euroleague team this season, since the time available for transfers from the one Euroleague club to another has expired.
Heurtel is now a free agent and looking for the next club in his career which is not going to be a Euroleague one but he can still find competitiveness in other championships too.
