The Denver Nuggets are not expected to have Michael Porter Jr. for Tuesday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, per head coach Michael Malone.

Porter’s last game was at Sacramento on Dec. 29, when he had 30 points and 10 rebounds. The game against Oklahoma will be the 10th consecutive to miss for Porter due to COVID-19 protocols.

“Of course, we miss Michael,” Malone said after practice Monday. “He’s a big part of what we’re trying to do here. When we do get him back, he will be a welcomed sight.”

The Nuggets started the season on a bad not, as the 2020 Western Conference finalists are on a 6-7 record at the start of the 2020/21 campaign.

The promising wing is averaging 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds over four games. He could offer an offensive spark to his team after losing a close game to Utah.

Nuggets’ head coach Mike Malone revealed Porter could follow the team on their five-game trip that begins Friday in Phoenix. Nuggets are set to face Oklahoma City Tuesday.
