Two games between the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers scheduled for Jan. 17 and Jan. 18 have been postponed due to health and safety protocols.

Due to ongoing contact tracing within the Wizards, the team does not have the league-required eight available players.

The Wizards are now up to five total positive COVID-19 cases.

This is now the third and fourth consecutive postponements for the Wizards and Nos. 11 and 12 of the NBA season.

Their next scheduled game is against the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 20, so it will be a waiting game to see if any players can clear the health and safety protocols by then.
