Detroit Pistons rookie Killian Hayes is reported to have suffered a labral tear in his hip after exiting his side’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks shortly after halftime on Monday.

The injury was initially determined to be a hip strain but, per Shams Charania of The Athletic, it’s worse than first thought.

Hayes, who was selected at No.7 in last year’s NBA Draft, fell while attempting to contest a layup by Jrue Holiday and was unable to return to his feet immediately as he rolled around in pain. He was attended to by the Pistons’ medical staff, ultimately walking to the locker room on his own.
