Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had to leave the game against the San Antonio Spurs with an ankle injury and did not return.
Caldwell-Pope underwent medical tests that showed a mild left ankle sprain.
However, his injury did not require a walking boot and Caldwell-Pope is hopeful he will play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
“I knew my energy wasn’t there in the first half and in the second half I tried to change that and came out with great energy, scored eight points.
And to go down like that, I was kind of upset. I was starting to warm up, get loose, get into the game flow and then that happened. Fortunately (the X-rays are) negative, thanks for that, but I was a little upset that I didn’t get a chance to finish the game,” Caldwell-Pope told reporters, via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll.
