LaMelo Ball had a tough start to his NBA career, as he registered zero points in his official NBA debut. Ball stayed in the game for 15 minutes in Charlotte’s away loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The rookie went to shoot 0-from-5 from the field and 0-from-3 from beyond the arc to conclude a disappointing regular season debut.

The third overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft had also three assists and three turnovers along with one rebound. The Hornets succumbed to defeat despite Terry Rozier’s monster performance.

The Charlotte’s guard finished the contest with a career-high 42 points. Gordon Hayward also made his debut for his new team putting up 28 points in the opening night.
