The Golden State Warriors started their 2019/2020 season on a disappointing tone, as they succumbed to a blowout loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr admitted that Golden State is nowhere close to a respectable level as a team right now being disappointed with the effort.

(via San Francisco Chronicle):

“I’m disappointed with the outcome and the effort, but it doesn’t change the way I feel about this team,” Kerr told reporters.

“They’re a great group. I really like where we’re going to be a couple months from now, but right now, we’re nowhere close to being a good team.”

“We’ve got a lot of work ahead,” Kerr continued, “but I’m very, very positive about this group.” It’s difficult to find any positives, after a blowout loss, however could be really optimistic about James Wiseman’s debut.

The rookie went on to put up 19 points along with six rebounds during his debut with the Warriors’ uniform. This was Wiseman’s first game in more than a year, after playing just three games in collegiate level.
