The Brooklyn Nets started the season with a bang, as they decimated the Golden State Warriors in the 2020/21 season opener (99-125).

With Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Caris LeVert combining for 68 points, the three players became the first Brooklyn Nets’ trio to tally 20+ points in a season opener since 2007.

Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson and Antoine Wright were the last to do it back in 2007. Kyrie Irving registered a game-high 26 points on 10-out-of-16 shooting.

At the same time, Durant recorded his first official NBA game in more than a year to register 22 points on 43.8% (7-16) from the field.

Finally, Caris LeVert came off the bench to put 22 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
