The Houston Rockets seem unwilling to trade James Harden for anything less than a young star and multiple first-round picks.

The Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as a potential destination for Harden, but as it turns out, the Rockets’ pricing has been set too high, per NBA insider Yaron Weitzman.

“Sixers-Harden negotiations: I’m told the Rockets have asked the Sixers for 3 first round picks in addition to Ben Simmons. As many others have reported, the Sixers so far have been unwilling to include Simmons in any proposals.”

The Sixers are not willing to break out their core of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid hoping to create a big-three with the addition of James Harden.

The eight-time All-Star is still under contract with the Rockets for two more years, so the franchise is willing to hold the former MVP until a team makes a more “suitable to their needs” offer.
