The second day of NBA Preseason featured more games and players. A bunch of guys trying to earn minutes played very well.
Isaiah Roby: The youngster started last night for OKC and played well on both ends. He’s only played in 3 NBA games, but last night was a great sign for his future. 7 points, 11 rebounds
Theo Maledon: The 19-year-old was very impressive and has a smooth feel for the game. The Thunder have a steal in the 2020 #34 pick from France. 20 points, 5 rebounds
Frank Jackson: Jackson now plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Underrated scoring and playmaking abilities. 14 points, 2 3’s
Aleksej Pokusevski: The rookie is still only 18-years-old and can shoot it from deep. The Thunder’s 1st round pick can stretch the floor as a 7 footer. 14 points, 4 3’s
Devin Vassell: Vassell, who was the #11 pick by the Spurs, looked polished. He has a winning mentality and is now on a team known for championships. 12 points, 6 rebounds
Patty Mills: Mills is one of the best bench shooters in the NBA and is an underrated playmaker. Still can get it going at a high level for the Spurs. 24 points, 4 3’s
T.J. McConnell: The Pacers guard does everything you want out of a player. Plays extremely hard and makes passes most guys can’t make. 5 rebounds, 9 assists
Kelan Martin: Martin had some good moments last season in Minnesota. He can fill it up from three and has some nice dribble moves. 11 points, 2 3’s
Isaac Okoro: The 2020 #5 pick started last night and showed Cleveland he’s for real. On the last two plays of the game, he made a defensive stop, then ran the floor hard for a game winning layup. 18 points, 3 steals
Dylan Windler: Windler missed his rookie season, but played well in the 2019 Summer League. He’s playing just like he did then and that’s a great sign. 8 points, 8 rebounds
Damyean Dotson: Dotson brings a lot of experience over from New York. His 3&D tools can always be counted on this season by the Cavs. 12 points, 2 3’s
Matt Thomas: Thomas shot an astounding 47.5% from three-point land last year. He filled it up last night for the Raptors. 16 points, 4 3’s
Malachi Flynn: The rookie looked NBA ready last night. Showed range from deep and had some tough passes. 9 points, 3 3’s
Terence Davis: Davis is coming off making All-Rookie Second Team last season. His ability to shoot and lock up on defense were evident for Toronto on Saturday. 13 points, 2 3’s
Chris Boucher: Boucher earned a nice deal with the Raptors this off-season. Expect career highs this season. 9 points, 3 blocks
Caleb Martin: Had some nice moments last year for Charlotte. Can be trusted off the bench for a spark when needed. 7 points, 3 rebounds
Jalen McDaniels: Played well in his rookie season when given minutes. Has some valuable skills in different areas on both sides of the ball. 9 points, 5 rebounds
LaMelo Ball: Despite not scoring one point, Ball’s rebounding and passing were elite. He faked out defenders multiple times on looks to teammates. 10 rebounds, 4 assists
Desmond Bane: The Memphis rookie has NBA ready attributes. Proved last night he can shoot and stretch the floor. 12 points, 2 3’s
John Konchar: Konchar has a really impressive basketball IQ if you get the chance to watch him. Always makes the right play and runs the floor hard. 8 points, 7 rebounds
De’Anthony Melton: Still very young at 22, Melton has solid point guard skills. Can score and get assists in a hurry. 11 points, 2 assists
Jaylen Nowell: Nowell showed he worked on his scoring ability in the off-season. Could be a threat for the Wolves off the bench if given the playing time. 22 points, 4 3’s
Juancho Hernangomez: Juancho averaged career numbers when he was traded to the Wolves. He can build on that in Minnesota for 2021. 8 points, 6 rebounds
Jalen Brunson: Another player who makes the right plays and has a great basketball IQ. No matter what his role is you can count on Brunson. 10 points, 4 assists
Maxi Kleber: Kleber’s numbers have gone up every year he’s been in the NBA. The German is making a consistent tenure in Dallas. 13 points, 7 rebounds
Bobby Portis: Still only 25-years-old, Portis has a great opportunity for the Bucks this year. His energy is something Milwaukee can count on. 14 points, 13 rebounds
D.J. Wilson: Wilson now enters his 4th season in Milwaukee and knows he has to step it up. He’s hoping to get quality minutes this season for the Bucks. 14 points, 2 3’s
Damion Lee: Lee put up career numbers last year and looks ready to be in a consistent role. Can also pass and rebound very well. 12 points, 2 3’s
Mychal Mulder: Played well in limited time last year. Mulder can provide Golden State with shooting when needed. 10 points, 3 3’s
Jordan Poole: Poole didn’t miss a shot last night and that’s a great start because he shot 33% from the field his rookie year. He has potential, just needs to be more consistent. 10 points, 2 assists
Facundo Campazzo: Campazzo’s passing and energy were at a high-level last night. His playmaking ability is going to be hard to keep off the floor for Nuggets coach Mike Malone. 8 points, 3 assists
P.J. Dozier: Saw his first real minutes last season and was versatile. Can make plays with the ball and has the size to defend multiple positions. 7 points, 2 steals
Juwan Morgan: Four-year college player who will provide scoring and rebounding if needed. Looked improved last night for the Jazz. 11 points, 7 rebounds
Udoka Azubuike: The rookie out of Kansas has quite the muscle to him. Plays the right way and can defend bigs. 6 points, 3 rebounds
Nigel Williams-Goss: The 26-year-old is looking to earn more minutes for the Jazz in 2021. His playmaking and scoring can provide a spark. 15 points, 2 steals
Elijah Hughes: The rookie led the ACC in scoring for Syracuse and now hopes to bring that ability to the NBA. The Jazz’s 2nd round pick has some nice offensive skills. 9 points, 2 rebounds
Mikal Bridges: Bridges is coming off playing great in the Orlando bubble. Has improved every year in the NBA for the Suns. 14 points, 6-10 FG
Jevon Carter: Carter shot the ball 42.5% from three last season. He brings shooting from deep and a full-court presence on defense. 8 points, 6 assists
Langston Galloway: Galloway is now on a team that can use his shooting in meaningful games. The Suns added some nice veterans to the roster. 17 points, 4 3’s
