ESPN continued its tradition of ranking the top 100 NBA players. Four players from the Los Angeles Lakers made the second half of the list, i.e. places from 51 to 100. Three of them are newcomers.

Marc Gasol, who joined the Lakers from the Toronto Raptors, sits at 96th place. Last season, he was ranked at 61. The reason behind his drop, according to Dave McMenamin, is the drop in his numbers both in regular season and in playoffs.

The next Laker on the list is Dennis Schroder. The 27-year-old point guard has arrived this offseason from the Oklahoma City Thunder. He broke into the top 100 after not making the list last year.

Just two positions above is Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. He signed a new deal with the defending NBA champions this season. He also made his first appearance among the top 100 NBA players.

At number 76 is Montrezl Harrell, another newcomer. He dropped four places since last season. The former Clippers big man is esteemed highly for his defense.
