Sports analyst Chris Broussard thinks that the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis is comparable to the duo of the Los Angeles Lakers legends Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

James and Davis are set to play together for at least the next three seasons after LeBron signed a two-year, $85 million contract extension and Davis penned a five-year, $190 million deal with the defending NBA champions.

“The Lakers are the best franchise in the NBA. … LeBron-AD is the reverse of Magic-Kareem. LeBron will probably be the best player on the Lakers this season. This gives AD more time to learn from LeBron. By the time AD is the best player, he’ll be ready,” Broussard said on First Things First.

Broussard later expanded on his thought in a tweet saying that LeBron/Kareem are the “elder statesmen”, while AD/Magic are “the young guns”.
