10-year NBA veteran Evan Turner is finalizing a deal to join the Boston Celtics as an assistant coach, according to Shams Charania.

Turner is expected to focus on player development.

The 32-year-old played for the Celtics from 2014-2016.

Last season, Turner only played 19 games for the Atlanta Hawks before being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he did not play any games.

It’s not clear if Turner is ending his playing career for good, as he hasn’t officially announced his retirement.
