CJ McCollum was critical of the decision of the NBA to start the 2020/21 season on December 22.

The superstar of the Portland Trail Blazers believes the league starts the season so fast, when most players thought the season would start in January or February.

“They played us, we were not supposed to start (the season) this fast… 70 days for Bron & the Heat,” McCollum said in an interview with Complex Sports.

This will be the shortest offseason in the history of sports in the United States (NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA), with just 71 days between Game 6 of the Finals (October 11) and the start of the season (December 22).

McCollum also said the NBA still hasn’t shared a plan on COVID-19 protocol.
