French swingman Axel Toupane is joining the Golden State Warriors on an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Toupane will receive an invitation to the team’s training camp that is set to begin on Dec. 1.

“Since the end of the last season my goal is to return to the NBA,” said Toupane. “I know that if I am in shape and with my experience, I have a real chance. I know the players better, I know my game better, I am overall better suited than three years ago.”

The 28-year-old has played 25 regular season NBA games.

He appeared in 21 games for the Denver Nuggets in the 2015-2016 season and averaged 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.

He then played two games each for the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans in the 2016-2017 season.

Since leaving the NBA, Toupane has played for Zalgiris Kaunas, Olympiacos, Unicaja and most recently, SIG Strasbourg this season.

Toupane has also been a member of the French national team at events including the 2017 EuroBasket and 2019 FIBA World Cup.
