Milwaukee Bucks center Robin Lopez is declining his $5 million player option and becoming a free agent, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Lopez, 32, joined the Bucks on a two-year, $9.2 million contract to back up his brother Brook this season.

He appeared in 66 games (five starts) and averaged 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Declining his option means that he believes that there will be a market for him in free agency.

Lopez was mainly a starter for most of his career before his only season with the Bucks.

This move frees up some cap space for the Bucks who are looking to sign key free agents this offseason to surround Giannis Antetokounmpo.
