Marc Gasol is going to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The veteran is drawing interest from several NBA teams.

The former Defensive Player of the Year offered a hint about his future in an interview with Spanish TV channel Esport3 this week.

“I know there’s interest from several NBA teams to get in touch,” Gasol said. “I want to help my future team to win on a consistent basis and contend for the championship. I don’t see myself playing for a rebuilding team.”

Gasol, 35, won the NBA title with the Toronto Raptors in the 2018/19 campaign, being an important part of the franchise’s championship run.

During the shortened 2019/20 season, Gasol averaged 7.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

For the Raptors, the highest priority in the free agency is expected to be Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka, who are also unrestricted free agents.
