The Orlando Magic are looking to package the No. 15 overall pick and Aaron Gordon to move up into the draft lottery, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.

However, if the Magic stay put at No. 15, they could use that pick on someone like Kentucky’s Tyrese Maxey, who could provide lottery value as a scorer off the dribble and “a hard-nosed defender.”

Trade rumors that the Magic were in talks to trade Gordon started in the last few days.

Gordon, 25, is signed with the Magic through the 2021-2022 NBA season and will make about $34.5 million over the next two years.
