The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in pursuing three guards including Brooklyn Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie.

The other two are Indiana Pacers’ Victor Oladipo and New Orleans Pelicans’ Jrue Holiday, according to ActionNetwork.com’s Matt Moore.

“Specifically, there is thought to be interest from Dallas in Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo, Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie and New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday. All indications that they’re looking for a wing upgrade to pair with Doncic.”

Dinwiddie is an all-around playmaker with good size for a guard who can finish at the rim and knock down threes when necessary.

He could be another scoring threat along with Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr.

It was recently reported that “multiple Western Conference contenders have expressed interest internally” in trading for Dinwiddie, however, the Nets’ desire to move him is currently unknown.

Dinwiddie reacted to those trade rumors:

The 27-year-old averaged a career-high 20.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game this past season and is under contract for next season.

Dinwiddie also has a $12.3 million player option for the 2021-2022 NBA season.
