Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv brings in Australian Aleks Maric for the upcoming season.  He has played for the last two seasons at Lokomotiv in Russian VTB league. In 23 Euroleague games he recorded 6.1ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.0apg last season. Maric also played 22 games in VTB United League where he averaged 6.7ppg and 4.0rpg.

Maric has won the Adriatic, Serbian and Greek league titles and Serbian and Greek Cups. Maric was also a member of Australian international program for some years.

Last season Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv became the new Euroleague champion after the incredible success in the final against Real Madrid for 98-86 after an overtime! The team of coach David Blatt returned on the roof of Europe after the last victories in 2004 and 2005 conquering the Euroleague number 6 (including the 2001 SuproLeague) after the amazing comeback earlier against the CSKA.
