The Los Angeles Clippers’ roster chemistry was evidently an issue, especially after the NBA season hiatus due to COVID-19.

Tyronn Lue, who was appointed as the new head coach of the Clippers after the franchise parted ways with Doc Rivers, revealed the reason behind those issues.

(via CBS Sports):

“I think when you talk about chemistry and continuity, it is not off the court, the guys not liking each other,” Lue said in his introductory press conference. “When you talk about chemistry, it is more so [Paul George] came in, and he had shoulder surgery, so he was out, he missed the whole training camp and was out the first 11 games of the season.”

The Clippers were one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals, as they took a 3-1 lead over the Denver Nuggets. However, Mike Malone’s team got back to the series by winning three in a row to get to the Conference Finals against the Lakers.
